MARKINGS: BLUE CROWN MARK WITH CREST UNDERNEATH AND WL 1895 ON INSIDE CREST.
CONDITION: LOTS OF CRAZING (CRACKED GLAZUING) BUT THAT IS CHARACTERISTIC OF THEIR PORCELAIN. NO CHIPS. NO CRACKS. IN GOOD CONDITION.

Modern Chinese porcelain mark by the “Wong Lee” (WL) company. They are a company in China who is known for making pieces on the style of Napoleon III. Always with crackled grounds or cracked glazing. The date 1895 is unrelated to the date of the piece but is the date of the end of the war between Japan and China.
