Description
This is a beautiful set of three graduated miniature decorative Ouds, a traditional stringed instrument prominent in Middle Eastern music. These pieces are classic souvenirs from Lebanon, featuring iconic national symbols and delicate craftsmanship.
Item Type: Set of 3 (Small, Medium, and Large) decorative miniatures of the Arabic Oud (lute).
Design/Craftsmanship: Each piece is made from light-colored wood, possibly Lebanese cedar, and is set on a dark, oval wooden base. The faces of the instruments feature intricate laser-engraved or pyrography designs:
A prominent Cedar of Lebanon tree, the national emblem.
The word “LEBANON” engraved beneath the cedar.
Ornate star or rosette patterns near the base of the bowl.
The neck of the Oud is decorated with detailed scrollwork.
They include symbolic strings and tuning pegs, though they are not playable instruments.
